Victory at Rolex 24

BILSTEIN wins at Daytona

Bilstein has long been recognized for engineering and building the world’s leading monotube shock absorber for all forms of competition. Their shock absorber superiority has been proven once again as the Bilstein equipped TRG Porsche #67 captured the first place podium finish at the just completed Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.

The TRG team started the week posting the fastest times in both of the free practice sessions on Thursday, then carried the momentum into the event. Utilizing Bilstein’s MDS adjustable coilover monotube struts and shocks with independent 10-way rebound and 10-way compression double adjustable shafts, the TRG Porsche won the event, and Bilstein equipped cars took 3 of the top 5 positions.

The 24 Hour Rolex race featured 685 laps and a total of 2,438 miles. It is estimated that shock absorbers move about 1,750 cycles per mile in normal driving, so the new MDS adjustable shocks controlled the Porsche Suspension at a minimum of 4,266,500 trouble-free cycles.

TRG team owner Kevin Buckler said, “We have relied on Bilstein shock absorbers on our street and race cars for many years, and recently installed Bilstein’s latest new MDS adjustable shocks. There is no doubt that the new adjustable Bilstein shocks, along with some incredible teamwork, contributed significantly to our win.”

Congratulations to the racers and their team members. For the leading technology, winning performance, and superior selection, look no further than Bilstein.
