Suspension tuning: Lowering - the right way
Tuning World 2011: See Lina Van de Mars live with BILSTEIN
A treat for all tuning fans with BILSTEIN. BILSTEIN will be showcasing its top tuning products at the Tuning World Bodensee exhibition from 5 to 8 May 2011: the BILSTEIN B12 sports suspension kit now in combination with Eibach sports springs, and the BILSTEIN B14 and B16 height-adjustable suspension kits. Lina Van de Mars will once again be appearing at Europe's largest exhibition exclusively for tuning products. The tuning specialist and trained car mechanic, familiar to German TV viewers from her appearance on "Der Checker" on DMAX, will be signing autographs for fans on the BILSTEIN stand on Saturday and Sunday (Hall B5, stand 105). The ambassador of the BILSTEIN "Tiefer geht anders (Lower but different )" campaign will also be explaining in a panel discussion why serious tuners should only use quality products for suspension if they want to enjoy a lowered vehicle but without compromising on safety and driving comfort.
"I fully endorse BILSTEIN's principle of creating suspension kits which not only lower the car and look good, but also make no compromises in terms of safely and comfort," says Lina. "Everyone who tunes their car wants it to look meaner and cooler afterwards. But in my experience, anyone who doesn't fit a top quality suspension kit can soon have a rude awakening when it comes to safety and driving comfort. Anyone who doesn't believe me should come to the BILSTEIN stand at the Tuning World to see for themselves what I'm talking about."
Lina knows what she is talking about. Last year she discovered for herself what lowering a car with the BILSTEIN B14s means in terms of safety and driving sensation when she had the kits fitted in a Fiat Abarth 500 in Ennepetal. She is now the enthusiastic ambassador of the BILSTEIN "Tiefer geht anders" (http://blog.tiefer-geht-anders.de/) campaign. BILSTEIN's intention here is to promote high-quality and safe tuning. The Ennepetal specialists advise all tuning fans only to use high quality products when optimizing their suspensions. Suspension kits are safety-related components meaning that professional fitting - including axle measurement - is of great importance.
