In racing as in standard production cars, the name BILSTEIN has for many years stood for top quality and superior performance in suspension technology. Ever since the development of the first production-ready mono-tube gas pressure shock absorber according to the De Carbon principle back in 1954, we have been revolutionising damping technology with outstanding performance, safety and comfort features - right up to the present day.
BILSTEIN now works together with Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW, Audi, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, General Motors, Jaguar, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Nissan in the development and manufacture of standard parts. A total of 4,500 staff at 9 plants produce around 40,000 shock absorbers, 135,000 vehicle springs and 46,000 stabilisers every day. And as part of ThyssenKrupp Technologies, BILSTEIN is synonymous with innovation and high tech in suspension technology the world over.
